A trademark holds significant importance as a legally protected symbol that distinguishes a company’s products or services from its competitors. This distinctiveness is achieved through elements like a brand name, logo, device, font, and color combination, all of which receive the umbrella of intellectual property rights. Recently, my sister embarked on a venture of selling tea in a diverse range of flavors, and we were pleasantly surprised by the intriguing taste of her products. However, we soon realized that the uniqueness of her creations could make them susceptible to imitation by others in the market. To safeguard her rights and preserve her brand identity, we strongly advised her to trademark her company. This step would grant her exclusive rights over all the products she sells, providing her business with the protection it deserves.
